Words used in WoW

A-C
~ Burst Damage : Meaning dealing high damage suddenly in a short duration.
~ Clothes : Any class can wear this type of armor. It has the lowest armor effect.
~ Charm : One type of CC which causes the target to be controlled by you. Only Priest and a demon pet of Warlock can use this.
~ Critical : Meaning dealing stronger damage. Physical critical will be dealing double damage while magical critical will be dealing 1.5x damage. The extra damage can be improved by talents.
~ Crowd Control (CC) : Meaning the spells which can cause enemy/enemies to lost control of the character. Such as, Polymorph, Stun, Fear, Charm, etc.
D-F
~ Dual Wield (DW) : Meaning using 2 one-handed weapons (one in each hand). Only Hunter, Rogue, Shaman and Warrior are able to do this.
~ Energy : Similar to Mana but its only used by Rogue (and Druid in Cat-form). Rogue regenerate 20 energy every 3 seconds.
~ Fear : A type of CC which make the target run randomly in fear, will break upon attack. Warlock's Fear has stronger effect as it is not easy to be break upon attack.
G-I
~ Ghost : Character will become a Ghost after he/she is killed. He can choose to revive at a graveyard of to recollect his dead body. Choosing revive at graveyard will cause some penalty to the character's armor and character himself (become very weak for few minutes).
~ Ghost Wolf (GW) : Shaman's skill which turns himself into a Ghost Wolf with increased movement speed of 40%.
~ Health Point (HP) : The life of the character. Once fall to zero, the character will be killed and turn into a Ghost.
J-L
~ Leathers : Better armor effect than clothes. Mage, Warlock and Priest are not able to wear this.
M-O
~ Mails : Better armor effect than leathers. Only Shaman (after level 40), Hunter (after level 40), Paladin and Warrior can wear this.
~ Mana : Meaning the magic energy of the character. Most classes use mana. Mana is used to cast their spells.
~ Magic Damage : Magical damage caused by spells.
~ Magical Defense : Defense against magic damage. In game it is called as Resistance. There are 5 type of resistance (Frost, Fire, Arcane, Shadow and Nature). There is no resistance for Holy damage.
~ Melee Damage : Physical damage caused in close range.
~ Movement Control : Ability to cause target unable to move or moving in slower speed.
P-S
~ Stealth : Causing self to become invisible but with lowered movement speed. Only Rogue and Druid in Cat-form can use this. Some skills can only be used under Stealth Mode.
~ Stun : One type of CC which make the target stand still and losing control for several seconds.
~ Plates : Best armor in the game. Both Paladin and Warrior are able to wear this after level 40.
~ Polymorph : Mage's skill which turn the target into a critter. The target will has increased health regeneration in critter form and this effect will be break upon damage dealt upon the polymorphed target.
~ Rage : Similar to mana but its only used by Warrior (and Druid in Bear-form). Start at zero and only increase from dealing damage or being damaged. Will not drop by itself if the Warrior is in combat mode.
~ Range Damage : The physical damage caused by ranged weapons (Bow, Gun and Crossbow).
~ Ranged Weapon : Meaning Bow, Gun and Crossbow. Only Rogue, Warrior and Hunter are able to use this.
~ Resistance : Refer to Magical Defense.
~ Swift form: Druid's special skills. Druid can morph into several different forms which has different abilities. While swifted, Druid is immune to Polymorph effect and will dispel movement impairment effects.
T-V
~ Talents : Every class has their own talent-trees starting at level 10. Each level from level 10 will give the player 1 talent point to add in the choice of the player. Can be reset with some payment of gold.
~ Totems : Special skills of Shaman. There are 4 elementals of totems -Fire, Water, Wind and Earth. Each elemental has different types of totems of itself. Eg. For Earth, there are Earthbind, Stoneskin, Strength of Earth, etc. For Wind, there are Windfury, Windwall, Grace of Air, etc. For Water, there are Mana Spring, Fire Resistance, etc. For Fire, there are Flametongue, Fire Nova, etc. A Shaman can use Earthbind + Windwall + Mana Spring + Fire Nova totems at a time. If he uses another Earth totem (eg. Stoneskin) after he has that 4 totems, the Stoneskin totem will replace the Earthbind totem as both of them are Earth element totem. Most totem has only 5 HP and can be one-shotted to be destroyed.
W-Z
~ Wand : Ranged weapon used by Mage, Warlock and Priest. Can attack target up to 30 yards. The damage type is magical (Fire, Frost, Arcane, Shadow and Nature, depending on the type of the wand).
0-10
~ 1H : One-handed weapon
~ 2H : Two-handed weapon
